Bill’s Story

I ahd a stroke on Sept. 24, 2000 while I was in my morning shower. My wife immediately recognized it as a stroke and called 911. When I was in the emergency room my wife was asking if she wanted a TPA shot, she said yes and I received it. While in my room my wife played Jimmy Buffett music all the time. After a week in Lakeland Regional Medical Center, I was discharged and I then went to WInter Haven Hospital on the 7th floor for about a month.
I started painting at the YMCA for about 5 or 6 years. I ahve been working at the Good Shepherd House for the last 5 years.
